Overview

SideSync makes it easy to use smartphones with your PC.

• Keyboard/Mouse Sharing
  Keyboard/Mouse Sharing lets you use your smartphone through the keyboard and mouse connected to your PC. For example, you can run the programs on your smartphone with your mouse and use messenger programs with your keyboard.
  
  
  
• Phone Screen Sharing
  Phone Screen Sharing lets you use your smartphone from your PC monitor. For example, you can display your smartphone screen on your PC monitor for an enlarged view.
  
  

Installing the SideSync Launcher

• Run SW Update.
• Enter SideSync in the search window and select SideSync.
• Click the Install button to install the program.

2.1.2 Installing SideSync Phone Screen Sharing

• Run SW Update.
• Type in "SideSync" in the search window and select SideSync – Phone Screen Sharing.
• Click the Install button to install the program.

2.2 Installing the Smartphone Application

You can install the SideSync smartphone application through Samsung Apps  You can also turn on the USB debugging option in your smartphone to have the program automatically installed while connected to a PC with SideSync installed.

2.2.1 Installing the Smartphone Application from Samsung Apps

• Access Samsung Apps (http://www.samsungapps.com) from a browser.
• Enter SideSync in the search window.
• Install the SideSync app.

2.2.2 Installing the Smartphone Application while Connected to a PC with SideSync

You can install SideSync on your smartphone by turning on the USB debugging option on your smartphone while your phone is connected to your PC.

• Turn on the USB debugging option.

• The USB debugging menu is hidden in Android version 4.2.2 or higher (e.g. Galaxy S4). To view the menu, switch to Developer Mode by pressing the build number at least 7 times in a row.

• Connect your smartphone to your PC with a USB cable.
• Install SideSync on your smartphone by clicking the Install button in the SideSync program on the computer.

• Run the SideSync smartphone application after the installation is complete.
• Press the Start button in the SideSync smartphone application.

• Agree to the terms and conditions for the app on your smartphone.

Keyboard/Mouse Sharing

Running SideSync

• Connect your smartphone and your PC with a USB cable.
• Click the Keyboard/Mouse Sharing button on the PC to run the feature.
• When Keyboard/Mouse Sharing is activated, a popup message saying the feature has been activated on your PC will appear and the program screen will be minimized.

Using Keyboard

You can move the mouse cursor to your smartphone and use smartphone apps or send a message using a keyboard.

• Move the mouse cursor onto the smartphone.
• Run an application.
• Click on where you want to enter text, and start typing on your keyboard.

Using Copy and Paste

ou can copy and paste text information between your PC and smartphone.

• Select the text to copy on the computer.
• Press Ctrl+C to copy.
• Move the mouse cursor onto the smartphone.
• Press Ctrl+V to paste the copied text into the smartphone.

• On your smartphone, select the area you want to copy.
• Press Ctrl+C to copy.
• Move the mouse cursor to the computer.
• Click where you want to paste the copied text, and press Ctrl+V.

Sending Files

You can send files easily using the smartphone sharing feature on your computer by dragging and dropping them with your mouse.

• On your computer, click the file you want to send.
• While holding down the left mouse button, move the cursor to the smartphone.
• When the cursor appears on the smartphone, release the left mouse button.
• Now the file has been sent to the SideSync directory on your smartphone.

• Run My Files on the smartphone.
• Select a file to send to the computer and then select Share.
• Select SideSync.
• Select the folder on your computer where you want to save the file.
• Now the file has been sent to that folder.

• Connect your smartphone and your PC with a USB cable.
• Click the Phone Screen Sharing button to run the feature.
• When the smartphone is successfully connected, its screen will appear on the computer screen.
